Father Leszek Semik was born and raised in Lipowa, Poland. He attended the Metropolitan Theological Seminary in Krakow, Poland from 1988 to 1994, studying for six years at The Pontifical University of John Paul II where he earned a master’s degree in Philosophy and Theology in 1994. He served as an Associate Pastor for three parishes in Poland: Saint Francis of Assisi in Bielsko-
Bilala, Saint Maximilian Kolbe in Oswiecim, and Saint Bishop Stanislaus. In 2006, Fr. Semik transferred to the Los Angeles Archdiocese and was assigned to St. Dorothy’s Parish in Glendora. After five years he was assigned to Saint Elizabeth of Hungary in Altadena where he served for three years. In 2014 he was assigned to St. Lawrence Martyr where he served as Associate Pastor. In 2016 Fr. Semik was appointed Administrator of St. Anastasia Catholic Church.

Fr. Greg Rozborski, Ph.D. was born in Poland, the third child of a family of six. Very early in his youth, he demonstrated a penchant for theatre. At age 18, he felt a calling for something more. He knew God was calling him to serve the Church. After much discernment, he joined the Michaelite Order, an order whose charism is to teach. His seminary studies brought him to Canada in 1999. There he obtained a Master of Theology, from St. Peter’s Seminary, in affiliation with Western University, London Ontario.
Through his priestly journey, he has served as an associate pastor in four parishes, most recently, as Pastor of St. Pio of Pietrelcina in Roseville, Michigan from 2014 until June 2022. His next assignment brought him to St. Anastasia Catholic Church in July of 2022. Though he has loved working in many parishes, the desire to teach has never been far from his heart. In 2020, he began coursework directed toward a PhD in Pastoral Theology and Psychology. This spring, he completed his coursework and obtained an STL degree (Sacred Theology Licentiate) in Pastoral Theology and Psychology. Although he remains a priest with the Archdiocese of Detroit, Archbishop Gomez has graciously extended him the opportunity to serve in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles while completing his PhD, with the aspiration to one day teach at the seminary or university level while continuing to serve this diocese.
